Imperial Premium Seafood is a trademark of De Cheng Xin Xing Trading Pte Ltd, which was established since 1947. It is currently run by third generation of owners.
1947
Mr. Goh Joo Meng, along with his partners, established a grocery shop named Teck Seng Sin Heng at 31 New Market Road, catering to both retailers and wholesalers, including well-known Teochew restaurants like Tai Seng and Ban Seng, as well as bakeries such as Tai Thong Kok and Sin Tong Nam.
Three years later, the company was privatized and relocated to Blk 2 Tew Chew Street #01-03 Ellenborough Market.
From there, it expanded from a grocery shop to offering delivery services to various food outlets and restaurants.
Our operations moved to 321 Victoria Street Wholesale Centre.
It was then that we started to import goods directly from various countries like China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia.
Mr. Goh Watt Heng's son, Mr. Andrew Goh Yiu Ngee, later established our sister company, Yi Qiang (Import & Export) Trading Pte Ltd, to focus on importing & exporting groceries and provisions for mainland Chinese restaurants & food eateries.
2012
We moved to 101 Kallang Avenue #01-10 as 321 Victoria Street Wholesale Centre had to be demolished to make way for the construction of North-South Highway.
We entered the Food & Beverage business by opening our first Chateraise franchise outlet at Chinatown Point. Now, with 15 outlets across Singapore, we are one of the largest Chateraise franchise owners in the country.
In December 2018, we opened our flagship premium seafood store at 169 Bencoolen Street, offering top-quality seafood and premium dried goods in a spacious, comfortable setting designed for our loyal customers to browse at their leisure.
Fu Qi Chinese themed restaurant, Grilled Fish, Fragrant Spicy Crab was added to our F&B business.
In June, we launched XiangDuoDuo, a takeaway concept featuring desserts and "Chongqing xiao mian," designed for busy individuals seeking a quick, satisfying, and nutritious meal, along with refreshing treats.
